This workshop is a chance to try common yoga poses without the pressure of a fast-paced class. You’ll also learn the basics of yoga and how it can improve your flexibility, strength and balance, as well as offer relaxation.

Workshop taken by Urban Yoga’s teachers, Megan Sety and Sarah Morris.

Sarah Morris currently teaches the Beginners Basics courses at Urban Yoga and is passionate about introducing common yoga poses to students in a way that makes them easy and accessible. Yoga is more than just physical poses and Sarah has a special interest in incorporating simple meditation and yoga breathing practices that can help you de-stress and relax.

Coming from an outdoors background with a personal yoga practise since 2003, in its many forms, Megan has learned how to use yoga to help students manage injuries to continue to pursue their passion for the outdoors and having an active lifestyle. Megan is great at helping students feel safe in any yoga class, by learning to adapt and modify yoga for their own individual body.

The workshop will include a mix of interactive presentations (questions encouraged!) and a guided practice of yoga poses, meditation and breath work.
